Last Tuesday, October 8th, Wayne County CEO Students enjoyed learning about the "business" of our county. County Clerk Liz Ann Woodrow took time to educate students about all the executive administration services the clerks office conducts throughout the year. She showed students the county records, from birth and marriage certificates, to property deeds. Liz Ann explained the costs associated with running the county and its similarities to running a multi-million dollar business. She also talked with students about the upcoming election and all the work and money associated with conducting elections on the local and national level. Students also had the chance to experience the process of casting a ballot.

Thank you Liz Ann for taking time with our local students. It is our hope through these experiences students will develop a sincere interest the "business" of our county through citizenship and community engagement!

This year's class is sponsored by Keys Real Estate.
