I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for the ICE CREAM SHOP! Wayne County CEO visited with Travis and Shannon Mix yesterday at their business in Cisne, The Ice Scream Shop. Travis and Shannon shared their experiences with their start-up, good and bad, as well as shared their wisdom about the importance of giving back to the community. "I'm not a great people person, but when folks come to the window, I want them to feel like they've been welcomed into my home." Shannon shared. Travis advised the team about being open to various opportunities and possibilities that come their way. Community members encouraged him to consider offering a daily lunch special, along with the ice cream, which has grown into a small catering service. More than anything they shared was how much FUN they're having! When you love what you do... it doesn't feel like work.
